Jaded you say. Exactly why do you think the visitor debuff was implemented?
Protip: Betrayal was the main food here. Why using a ram when you can use a mole?

Visitor debuff implementation had nothing to do with that raid, as the whole implementation as it is would have still allowed us to do that raid. I think you are making your own conclusion about things.

pedorlee wrote:Visitor debuf was added after last world events on Rileyh. Odditown introduced a mole inside their enemies village, opeened doors and they killed everybody. So month of work went to the trash for an obviously easy movement. One faction down. In previous worlds there were teleports outside the village, so nobody but the ls had the masterkeys guarded in alts nobody could kill. Everybody started blaming hpw easy and stupid was a system that allowed that and devs changed some rules. Guess who raped the visitor debuff this world and wiped the same faction again...
In previous worlds oathkillers were usually prosecuted and killed. It happened sometimes but it usually ended bad to the perpetrator, in game and in forums.
In legacy, having a good structure in the village building, with isolated plots and teleports outside, it was enough to reduce the role of a mole to an informant of the movements of the enemy. In hafen it became a pussy strategy consisting in opening doors. Thats why.
Also, perpetrators have names and surnames and arr all well known. They are allways veterans and because of them the subforum of dwarves its an erial.

Clever its the word. I have some otherbadjectives thou...

lol "wiped" ? You realize we relocated / stopped playing prior to that attack right? We lost 1 out of 20+ members and both villages still standing.

Bashing a few empty cupboards does not equal wipe. The forum made a lot bigger deal out of the whole thing than we ever did lol

If anything wiped us it was boredom, most of us are only interested in PvP, all it took was 1 uneventful week and everybody quit lol. The last big thing we did was when we got 13 or so people and went to willy potter town but they didnt leave walls and it was a total waste of time, I think people were kind of demotivated to bother doing anything after that so they did wipe us in a way by being pussies :( Nobody has patience to camp for hours or any of that crap that is required to get PvP kills. It was better when we just killed everybody instead of trying to be the good guys :P

Maybe I've fallen into a fallacy error of Cum hoc ergo propter hoc, also know as "Correlation does not imply causation".
One event followed the other, I do remember because I started bitching at it as I allways do when this tactics appear in the show, but It's not a mad idea using as an example the most recent events and the celerity with wich Devs have hotfixed some aspects of the game.
Maybe that was in the pipe for long and they decided to accelerate the implementation or maybe it was something decided to be added beforehand exactly those days.
But I think I'm not wrong if I say that last world, and before that patch, It was damn easy to reduce any assault to a "open the gates" pussy strategy while now It isnt.
Devs can solve the mistery.

Jordan, life is a rollercoaster. If you play with fire, you'll get burned.
If you are butthurted for a giant dildo I suggest you to start with something smaller.

I mean there's also the fact that their village didn't have walls or houses anymore, kind of more important than a dildo monument to mark where the nuke took place.

Jorb perhaps you should make it clearer that the base was nuked, as many people don't understand your humour in "minor damage".
