Start World 17.1, double LP. Gain, double FEP gain, half all world timers (mine pyres, smelting times, cheese, crafting, etc) reduce in game day to 4 hrs.

Make the world last 1-2 months and do all the crazy shit people are saying remove rawhide, weaken walls, make sieges easier, etc make the game play faster so if all gets fucked up you didnt spend 4 months or 6 months, go fast and break things

I would expect that a good chunk of the player base would split their time.

Edit: if you can have 2 worlds running at the same time why cant you have 3? Leave world 16 and do nothing to it ever again let it become.legacy 2.0, then have a 17 and 17.1

this,

if you wanna have concurrent worlds, give them wild and interesting mechanics instead of just changing how gates work, and it may just turn out some of those mechanics hold on to more players... otherwise it is just boring.

i know a few long time players aren't planning to invest any time in to w16.1 as it is seemingly pretty underwhelming at the moment, and a lot of suggestions from over the years have continued to be ignored. i'd understand if you had announced the world and asked for suggestions a few months ago, but waiting a literal month before launch is wild.

like poe leagues used to have completely new content/mechanics and the most liked stuff stayed in future leagues. even salem had 'expeditions' with weird new content??
and consider utilising 'polls' or actual survey forms that can accept votes from verified accounts before implementing big changes to 'stable' worlds

Hey! Do you know that animals can't go inside houses, caves and burrows?

they can bash burrows while you are inside sometimes, and theyll continue bashing even if the combat ends

Having an experimental world that everyone is expecting to be shorter than usual, and not speeding up or making mechanics easier to accomplish like credos, steel, or fep grind seems like a massive waste.

This game's biggest problem is the lack of players. And that's not gonna be solved by changing how gates or horses work or whatever.

Fresh start hype and low player retention.
I'm not joining late because I don't want to play catch-up and there will be a new server every year anyway.

Everyone will quit again after a few months. Not enough players want to join late. HnH in its current state just isn’t built for a permanent world.

Scenario D, I'm outside on a horse, get zapped by Rawhide from off-screen bc my opponent has a client with auto-Rawhide, I get stunned on the horse until he closes most of the distance, then has an easy time catching up to me.

It seems you have made the aforementioned mistake of turning your monitor off. People can only rawhide your horse if they are about 10-20ish tiles within render range, meaning they are visible on screen as long as your monitor is turned on.

Honestly why not just reset world 16 as well? What is there to achieve with a permanent world as it is? Everywhere is filled with dead claims and holes. Make it World 16.1 (main reset) and World 16.1.1 (go bonkers with experimental stuff)

Since we all post ideas that Jorb will not read, I'll join
1. Make any form of fasttravel except traveling back to your hearthfire apply a 20 rl minutes debuff (debatable, 20 minutes might be too low, but we have to staet somewhere) that prevents you from initiating combat with other players. This debuff resets when you travel to your hearthfire. You can still get attacked after you fast travel, but you can't attack.
2. Fast travel for wagons, somehow we can teleport knarrs around, but crossing rivers with wagons is impossible, what's up with that?
