Maybe I am asking something wrong (if I do, please do not delete the post but move it to the place it should've been placed), but I'd really like to discuss this: why Legacy Haven is pay-to-play?

1) It is literally dead, 10 people online is probably good. Means it does not earn you money at all (even out of that who still play it most probably paid not because of the access but something else).

2) It is no longer supported outside of server maintenance (which is not something crazy, considering the online).

3) It is very pay-to-play unfriendly. Most people who played it had a lots of accounts because there was no reason not to have an account for every alt. For every key/skill alt, for instance, I had an account. Paying for every account is a total nonsense. Losing something even though you paid for your main is unacceptable aswell.

With Hafen going f2p, I've thought, Haven will go the same way. I didn't like the way game development went, but I have very fond memories of Legacy, and therefore wanted to have some nostalgia. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be the case. But why? Are you afraid that all Hafen players will switch to Legacy? I can't find another explanation, tbh. Selling an extremely expensive (considering account count) access to a dead abandoned game that used to be free-to-play when it was not abandoned and dead?

Legacy is more an extra bonus for those that are supporting development by upgrading their account. It's not permanent, and the legacy server will be ending at some point in the future to never come back. Some people don't understand this or missed it in the information.

Sad that it is to gone. I'd definitely play it, maybe if it was like 1-time payment for all accounts I'd still play it in it's current state. But unlocking all accounts... no way.

that's the fun with thinking "oh it's free so i max it out" instead of splitting the roles to just 2 or 3 accounts ...

i think it's a fair deal they left Legacy alive and we pay a little ... to me it was absolutly worth the 45 for my 3 accounts as i played HnH long years for free

while i understand your thought the discussion about paying has been done to the max and is obsolete now ...
