That was an old post, though. Currently we've simply been pushing whatever stuff we manage to get to a playable state that week.

That said; I/we should stream more.

Stream, make topics, whatever feels right really. Sounds like you guys are running into stuff that requires design decisions, bigger than usual ones. And if that's the case it'd be a great opportunity to hone this feedback machine you've got sticking around and try to find a balance between what you ask and what people answer, and how constructive it is. I still like to hope that it's only an issue of asking the right way to get the right answers. A bit like that anecdote by someone or other Ford, who said "if i'd asked the people what hey wanted they'd have said faster horses".

My bad. I should have included a link with my post to that. It's from the world 8/hafen thread. I was trying to make a point that pushing out a couple of new items and one or two bug fixes twice a week isn't really giving us much, so be patient and given them time to come up with some good stuff with all the big plans stewing in their heads. :)

So Jorb, I believe the last mentioned "in the pipe" said something about not knowing where you were heading with pvp and siege, have you made progress? And whats the general state of it all? Is it a skeleton of ideas, a rough draft, or are the basics in place but in need of balancing and tuning?

We're working on something bigger this week. There'll be a small update on Wednesday.

You should give everyone a sub token for each time you've said that, but left many thoroughly dissapointed.

Just an idea.

Edit:

Perhaps you should take a month per update so there is no excuse for half-assed updates

Managing expectations is entirely up to you, I'm afraid.

It'd be neat to see like a tri-monthly free week. The holiday free time had our village full of life, and was probably my favorite time thus far. But yeah, folks should definitely lower expectations, this isnt a finished game, content isnt something that can be whipped up in such a small frame of time. Although we, including myself, like to gripe at each update, its enough fo rme to keep spending phat dollaz on a sub to keep it coming.

People want the big ticket items for the year done first.... most of them past siege are done. So any items old and new are welcome in my book.
