Yeah, I think the same. In the current version of the game, PvP is at its most relaxed. It was WAY PUNISHING before. But the number of posters who have never tried it shows no signs of increasing participation.
Simply adding battlegrounds won't be enough, as these people simply won't go there. The excuses will be the same as now: "bots, stats, groups."

Learn to talk cogently, you just hurl ad hominems.

Real talk, your suggestions suck and come entirely from your biased take and odd way of playing the game.

If you want them to merge pvp and pve in a meaningful way, you're gonna need to do so much better than 'add mobs that act like players'. You genuinely have no idea what you're talking about.

Would you rather have a farming bot or spend 2h a day doing fields, ain't nobody want to do consistent hours of labor for no reward (because endgame pve/industry loop is just not rewarding, smth smth w10, smth smth moving animal nodes ruins the progression after like month 3 of the world).
You can't really complain about an mmo rewarding group play xd

Nobody is complaining about the game rewarding group play. With all due respect, learn to read.

Snail basically says "killing scrubs and hermits is boring because the game doesn't teach them how to put up a fight". It's true that the game doesn't train pvp, but what he fails to realise is that these players aren't engaging with pvp because they are so busy with the tasks and industry of the base game. You could give them free lessons every day and they still wouldn't want to fight these jobless autists that spend their entire play sessions looking for pvp while bots and other players do the rest of the game for them.

It's fine, play however you want. Groups are fine, solo is fine. But complaining that killing people is too easy when you've circumvented the entire game except pvp is such a loser take.

A pretty common trope among the stupidest people with strong opinions I've ever met is that they wanna turn every li'l very obvious "water makes you wet" statement into a 35 way branching conversation where you have to solve every potential edgecase, and qualify every statement with 200 li'l clarifications

"The game should teach you how to play the game" is a "water makes you wet" tier statement. You trying to poke holes in that then basically changing subject 30 times doesn't make you smart or a god of debate or something it just makes you tedious at best and retarded at worst lol

like, sure me calling you stupid (which you are) is an insult that doesn't disprove your statement, but it's also the reality of the situation

Haven would be a 9/10 game if the two gnomes made PvP a simple rock-paper-scissors minigame and focused on PvE instead.

PvP should only exist to settle disputes that come with the sandbox nature of the open world and nothing more. You are only here because the game lets you cheat and bully players. You feel threatened when someone calls you out because other games don't welcome players like you.

Elaborate. Pressing qb into someone who can't run away considered cheating? I don't understand what you are talking about. Rock paper scissors? Do you want to make players auto-ko each other with 33% chance? I'm confused.

The way you play pvp isn't 'how to play the game'. You're conflating your own experience of the game with how it should be for everyone.

There is no 'correct way' to play haven. The experiences of a noob who builds a leanto and spends all their time exploring and gathering is just as valid as your sweaty pvp meta nonsense. In fact, many more people play the former.

You will never overcome this weird bias. You are deeply insecure and that comes across both in your need to gloat about your perceived intelligence on the forums, and the way you play the game.
