Game Development: Death

Announcements about major changes in Haven & Hearth.

Two different games.
Yandere Sim.
Haven & Hearth.

Differences are major.
The biggest difference?
Yandere Sim has one dev.
Haven & Hearth has two.

Somehow, one dev can bring so many updates with tons of content in small amounts of time.
Haven & Hearth has two devs who work together to bring little to no content each week.
I know you guys are working on something "big" but having updates with just a new chair is the biggest slap in the face.

Im not afraid to state my opinion on this game, id love to see it be much more fun. I'm in no way a dev, but if you have a major amount of players who all have a set of their own skills claim this game is unorganized and laggy, then you have an issue somewhere.
This game has major potential, its fun, its time consuming. I dont know what you're doing Jorbtar but if you are getting payed for this game now you need to step it up. Its no longer "your" game if we are paying customers now.

Besides all that, have you seen Xsyon?
Whenever I play haven Im reminded of that. And THAT is not what you want to be.
Like ive also said that you seemed to just abandon was our private messages. This forum is full of hate, bashing, name calling, shit talking ive ever experienced before. Why do you continue to let this happen? Do you just not care, or do you have no power over moderation?

... because it's fair to compare the difficulty of programming a singleplayer Unity game to a MMORPG coded in Java and C like haven & hearth?
The dev of Yandere simulator also has the freedom to add whatever silly stuff he feels like adding (mind the countless "easter eggs" in the game), while over here in the haven lands ANY mistake made in an update will result in a gigantic shitstorm being made by everyone.

Arguably once you build your own custom engine (and tools to go with it) making a game on it should be faster than using a jack of all trades like Unity.

Often times when you start of using a more generic engine, its much, much faster to get something up and running. However the game either begins to become very generic itself, or you find yourself spending more time fighting with the engine or trying to extend the engine, than you do developing the actual 'game'.

I remember people raging that animals were too hard and too game breaking when the world started. A few days later they started complaining animals ran away when hurt and wrote like 6 threads demanding a change like it was the most important issue in the game. At some point there were even people complaining about something as ridiculous as the cheese taking to long to make. Now there are complaints that the big changes never come, but they already did a few times, and in most of them the community pressured the devs to roll them back. It's not really surprising, then, that devs decide to go the safe route and add just a chair.
I think Asendre is right, they don't have much freedom of action. I suppose until they decide to focus on getting new players in the game they'll have to keep listening to that same nonsense.
