Perhaps I should have read a few pages back. It seems the high Q water / saltwater is intentional? Disregard my prev post

What's your survival[/quote]

Seems my miner was using a different gear set and was missing 40 or so survival compared to what I expected, Checked on another character and confirmed they are working, Sorry for false alarm!

We all get to play like cheaters now.
It's probably my fault for being a casual hermit who was completely unaffected by some group at the top cheating. The jump to q260 is too much for me. I don't care how much better my stuff will be with it. It doesn't feel right.
Enjoy your water. You didn't earn it. :|

Will there be some sort of role-play notification in the game that something has happened to the water?
I'm sure many players don't use discord or the forum and simply won't know about it, or find out too late.
I think a system role-playing message would be very atmospheric, just like there were notifications about the end of the last world :geek:

Huh, okay. Is this first time for a hnh history when a major basic resource being bumped hearthwide massively? Might be an interesting experiment to see where this goes.

Damn.
Even though it "has been done to avoid a world reset", devs don't seem to realize it mostly affects the hermit-style players, not the core pvp playerbase.
Watch online drop from 500 to 200 in 2 weeks now as the non-forum-whining playerbase just gives up on playing...

This decision will be the reason for a reset in a month or two now. The high-end players are NOT the core playerbase, even though devs seem to believe they are.

Quality Water is THE ONE AND ONLY resource you actually need to hunt for on the world. Bay made this world feel amazing, but it required at least some effort.
This... yeah it's a reset.

PPS
Also how has this been an undocumented bug for three whole worlds? The "Oh the expmultipliercheck&expcostcalculation happens during the BEGINNING of the Hearth Magic Action, not on the COMPLETION of it" seems fairly easy to find even by accident...

Update:
On further consideration, I find myself - shockingly, actually - agreeing with the decision to bump the worldwide water q. It's a shitshow either way. There are actions that would've been better, requiring some investment that isn't available. Which means, on the current "operational limits" - and given the info on the matter, which is, honestly, passed down to us players in almost all of its entirety... yeah it's the best option, even if it leads to ruining player online count.

Also, Sheep, sorry, but you forum-wankers are still a minority in the total game playerbase. And that's with me assuming 20% of online players to be 24/7 bot accounts in big hermit-like villages. I'm not saying that as a "YOU DON'T MATTER" spite. I'm saying that because developer decisions should still be considering actual players in mind, not the vocal minority of eccentric abusers :P

I'd like to see a Dev Stream on this issue and resolution when holiday is over. It will be really interesting to know some player base details of the before and after.

Things I'm personally interested in are:
Players that quit vs new players/alts created.
Average online players.
Any trend in change of attribute/skill focus. Specifically, did players focus on upping Survival to obtain q300+ Salt Water.
Industry jumps and highest quality.

Things like that would be really interesting especially when compared to other worlds and this world before and after water quality boost.

Happy to finally see some people getting banned for obvious bug abuse. Not sure if increasing the water quality overall was the best decision though. It's like 'raiding' an abandonded high-end village. It's fun for a few days whilst you are getting all the highest quality stuff, but the boredom kicks in really quickly after when you realize there is no point in grinding up anymore. That's from a hermit/small village perspective. Having to rebuild all infrastructure because of the immense quality raise from both the water and salt water is not fun.

Also, if you don't want to get banned 'unjustly', maybe don't hang around with known bug-abusers for years.
