Can confirm that this is a thing that happens.

It is, and no. I don't think the client has ever used the bounding-box info to begin with.

indeed, lock onto the cart on a sled on the snow, then go onto ice, and youll loose the sled :)

Hm, I can perhaps see that using mounts can perhaps cause the cart to not update its speed correctly, but that might be somewhat difficult to properly fix, also. I'll have to look into that.

@loftar
To reproduce cart having different speed, jsut ride a kicksled, attach a cart and slide from snow to ice. The cart will lag back, and have a big gap between you and cart, while still following you and being interactible (i.e. you can drop it from far distance). But once you pick it up again being ON ice - it starts to be as speedy gonsales as you are. Also, same happens on dirt roads, where cart would drop when sled changes speeds. Haven't noticed any other cart strangeness except for the sled though, so it might be sled-specific, but reproduces 100% times.

EDIT: dang, I am a second too late!

so is it confirmed that all cave trees and mushrooms losing their pickables in winter is intended behaviour then?

I assumed that would have been a quick fix

Ah, no, it is in fact not, but I always forget about it. It's usually Jorb who reminds me of things like that, so I completely blame him for my memory. :)
