The big question is are the attributes of the ingredients going to be randomized with world resets like with fishing bait?
Making the huge spreadsheets for this could be fun, but less so if the progress will all be reset when the world ends.
(once and futue king btw)

good point, alchemy recipes should change and shift with moon phases, time of day, seasons and cave level as well

seems that you guys are trending towards just throwing each update into the random machine, it's really lame having the ingredients have no rhyme or reason, same for smokers, same with variable feps as well, not a fan of this style of development, just a big headache to have to look through a list or remember these arbitrary recipes.

Alchemy is cool.

But ideas to randomize effects/recipes is dull and eventually it will become another waste of time which make ppl loose interest in it. Alchemy is knowledge, and knowledge is not random.

imagine if there was no description on how does the potion work :P

J&L are you planning to add a way to blend in curios into recipes ? that could be cool too !

if you hate the research, just wait some months, there will probably be a Wiki page or some website to quikcly look for what you may need

careful with discord group negativity, this update was pretty epic, but there's no way to prevent sharing knowledge on the internet

After a day of researching, I can admit that we definitely need some way to understand what alchemy process does with ingredient.
Without that, alchemy profession will just come to dead end.

*running noise and the the sound of somebody kicking the door in*
Why was I not notified sooner?!

Nevermind that, let's open excel and get going.

(Truth be told, maybe we shouldn't immediatly know what an elexir does ... though I already seen potions dealing huindreds of HHP damage and are instant kills for many people)

I noticed this with other objects too (like Wheelbarrows) and yes I know, normally this should get into the bug section of the forums but seing how this patch is rather fresh I am hoping you read this ...

You cannot use sketchbook pages on the alchemic table, even though it has building colors.
I hope you can hotfix this when you have a minute to spare ... sadly nothing we grow for quality is even remotly aestheticly pleasing but my profession as a chemist won't allow me to use anything besides the best possible building materials for the table.
I hope you understand and consider.
