+1 pvp sucks, you are right.

I want a world without pvp where we can create alts, and block peoples gates with their bodies, so nobody can leave their bases. We should also be able to wall peoples bases in so they are forced to uninstall the game, and hopefully never come back. Believe it or not, we can't even stand in the way of peoples walls while they are building them to prevent them from ever getting them up, because the alt might be attacked! Can you believe that?!

What a world we live in, we can't even do simple things, like destroy someone's house before it's fully built, without the threat of death! Permanently blocking people from building their bases because we created a beacon, and spawned in an alt should be a human right! Without pvp, this would all be possible, and the game would be so much better!

Please fix this devs, it's literally unplayable right now! Please everyone give istomin1986 a +1 so the devs can see!

Well I admit I'm just a casual player and understand nothing from all this PvP meta fuzz but I understand every player, that enjoys the larp aspects of the game.

And I get the point about this "alt could block gates" thing - but why can't we then lift idle players while not aggroed so you just relocate them a little bit? and this "someone could build a wall around your wall" has nothing to do with PvP, right? i mean if you're just a casual player you would not have any chance against a full-time gold sub player with alt army - if he decides to build a palisade around your claim and wall you in then the palisade is going to be built.

There should be continents with a moral system and a central continent without - PvP on central continent without penalty, but on the peaceful continents are no hi-q water and clay and animal nodes - so if you want to get high quality shit you have to risk something. As the larpers mostly (I guess) don't join the minmaxing insanity they could build their beautiful claims on peaceful continents, have a great time with other non-PvP players and coexist without this PvP vs. non-PvP crap

You're right, if they implement lifting for afk alts, that might seem like a problem, but luckily there are already bots that spam click on the tile they are on to prevent pushing. This was used against us during the siege of Whatever Bay, in an attempt to force us to kill the alts. We could just use that to also prevent afk.

If someone builds a palisade around someones base, it can currently be destroyed, but if we remove pvp, we can make hundreds of alts to block every square inch of the wall, so that nobody can get to it to break it before it dries. That would be perfect, and thanks to the ability for some clients to remove all resources, all those alts won't take any cpu to block your way. I can't wait for the peaceful continent, it's gonna be amazing #nomorepvp
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Alts are really a fraction of reasoning for PvP, the fact that it solves alt spam and griefing is just more like a side effect.
It is a major feature of the game that alot of people find fun just as any other feature or like the farming feature. If you don't like it you are playing the wrong game and you are wasting your time. Check the link in my signature sir

I just want death to mean something again.

I don't want people to have back ups!
I want you and me to have to start another char from scratch if he dies.
I don't really mind if i inherit my previous char land, hearthfire and whatnot, but It's not a deal breaker is it doesn't happen that way

I want death to be feared like it used to.

I don't want PvP to be removed but the usual arguments against removing it are really weak.
There is an easy solution for all those scenarios that you make up in your head. Even the points brought up in "Developer Thoughts on PvP" are complete bs if you think about it.

PvP isn't even that big of a deal. Most players have a problem with Permadeath.

which only happens if you stay out of your walls with considerably damage to your MHP and you get clapped with big openings.. dying is quite rare

This is accurate, dying in haven is more of a tax on the stupid than a real thing. Surprisingly it's not uncommon though, which says something about us haven players.

I'm thinking about all the new players that will leave a negative review on 0.3 hours playtime after dying to a boar or drowning.

"Permanent Death" is no more than a red flag on the Steam page. It's not a selling point or a good game mechanic.
Getting for-fun murdered after investing hundreds of hours into your character isn't an epic gamer moment. You, the more experienced player, know how to make it happen.

There should be a seperate hardcore PvP server with different rules for players that want more PvP and the normal server for LARPing normies.
There are PvP and PvE players. HnH is some weird in-between PvP/PvE game that should finally decide what side it wants to be on. A friend to all is a friend to none.

Man, we don't have ppl even for one server... The game already divides people according to who will go beyond the walls and who will never leave them.
