Did you try telling your mom about it? Maybe she will warm up some milk for you, patting your head while you fall asleep in bed as she whispers to you about how her little hero will save all the poor Brazilian children some day.

wait hold on, whoa…

were you asking me? Yeah I never want to see misa the pedophile and when i do reply to him here im upfront about calling him a kiddie diddler so no one’s in the dark about that. Id expect anyone to unironically despise him for similar reasons and look at someone funny if they didnt (ig unless they thought the evidence was fabricated - please ask if you do because it’s all still there). Maybe thats giving too much credit, maybe some people need to have kids to care about kids; I believe empathy is actually pretty normal as is hating pedophiles (like misa) but you do you rage-blinded old guy

Ever heard the phrase “pay lip service” before? And no I don’t mean the stuff you were doing in the gym class locker room.

Maybe start by asking yourself how you want this forum to be run. It's been turning into a complete circus for quite some time now, and maybe you would want to reconsider if that's how you want your new audience to perceive your game. The forum is dominated by a few small groups who's only goal is to derail any new thread as soon as possible.

I know you've always been a person of minimum moderation and if you stand by that, that's fine. In that case I don't think adding an extra mod will do anything.

Whoever you decide to add, make it an outsider with preferably some moral values.

I agree that I don't think that more mods will do anything, and I also agree that it will likely be an off-putting image for new joiners.

I had the idea of possibly making it so people can make 1 post a day or something like that, but cleaning up around here seems like a tall order.

The problem isn't threads being derailed, and I think that this is a dishonest take and something that is easy to ignore. The problem is that this community is currently being dominated by a group of narcissists whose personal reputation is deeply woven into the game for some reason.

Look in any subforum and you can find this robbin-dumarch character and a few of his villagemates, noidyflanker, theservant, kaios, overtyped and audiosmurf all campaigning and vying for attention and reputation. It's happening on the Steam discussion page right now too. Moot threads, C&I threads, IoB threads, even bug reporting and client development. You can't go anywhere without seeing one of them making some shallow pickme type post.

They are the loud minority and they DM jorb every time somebody posts something that they don't like.

There are numerous screenshots going around from some of their discord chats that prove how dedicated they are with this campaign. They have started mass reporting any Steam discussion page that isn't 'about them'. It's just icky.

Any why? Just to get a bunch of fresh meat to join their village so their ringerleader robbin can bask in the pride of having the world's biggest village.

I feel sorry for any new joiner that gets sucked into this guy's narcissist campaign.

You should've just stopped here. Who are you even kidding?

The other side is just as horrible, I don't think anyone needs proof of that. No discussion is possible with either side, because it all ends up in finger-pointing how terrible the others are. As you have shown above.

For some reason most of you still manage to put out quality posts here and there, but as soon as somebody for the 'other side' shows-up it is nothing but mud throwing in a very sad and childish manner. Something that has scared off way too many respectable forum users in the past and obviously will continue to do so with any new user coming in trough Steam.

Since these things are apparently not obvious:

  • If you wish to make serious allegations against a community member then you do so in DMs to a moderator, rather than in a public doxxing thread.
  • This forum will not attempt to police any nonsense that happens in your discord servers, nor will it consider your discord screenshots relevant to its proceedings.
  • If you are concerned that a serious crime may have been committed pertaining to some member of the community, then you should report that to the proper police authorities, rather than attempt to use it as a club to wield in some private e-vendetta here.

Thank you.

Oh, and can we perhaps please-with-cherry-on-top raise the level just a smidge? Must we be crass and ugly in everything we write, e.g. "retard", "cock-sucker", &c&c? Level up. Y'all giving me a headache.
