Again, it's not about "nerfing" questing.
wonder-ass wrote:instead of making it so you can only get 3 quests per day another option could be to make it so you can only get x hunger reductions per day.

The problem with such an approach is that it leads to a situation where you can start gaming the reward system, by, for instance, doing quests that you know give low rewards, and save the high-reward quests until you know you've made yourself highly probable to get the type of reward you want.

I can't remember last time when active players were buffed. Almost every patch i see the same thing: sprucecaps cry -> active players got nerfed.

Good patch... However mindless to implement during a running world. Sadly I feel like this is a running trend!

Changes like this can cause more damage then they fix. Obviously questing has been broken for some time, to think otherwise is ridiculous! Would it not be more appropiate to advise you have been working on the problem, explain the fix and prepare it for the next world?

but now you've taken the extremely rng approach of "fuck me i got 3 local boost rewards while x player got 3 hunger rewards" this is a worse approach imo.
less punishing system would be to make it so you can do x amount of specific rewards per day, so if you use up all x local rewards you can still keep going for the one you want.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

Oh hey, It just dawned on me. I did questing to try to get exp for gildings and other fun things during my down time. Now I can't even do that so I really now have nothing to do in the game once I've finished eating. I think thats the worst change out of everything. I had something to do when bored, now I dont. No more free gilding songs for friends.

Dude, you have plenty of questing to do. Zero chance this even affects you right now. Give it a while, and let me know when it actually hurts you.

Also, again, it probably doesn't affect you.

this exact implementation was not warned of, discussed, any of the sort, that i saw at least. please link me the feedback thread where you posted about potentially doing this

also you seriously need to reconsider calling literally everyone a sprucecap thinking you're some holier-than-thou master of game mechanics. you and i know full well that you know this game a lot less even as the creator than some of the people who are lifers here, who you waste absolutely no time in degrading.

god damn man

we will see, but you have to understand the immediate kick-back from this shit.

p.s. rip my outstanding EXP balance on a certain fellow lifer's character

The way I read this loftar quote, the maximum buffer you get from not being the server leader is 12. If that's correct, then no, you don't have "plenty of questing to do," you have 12.
