They say "experiment" and "we consider", but the very next moment they say "before we commit". If it goes steam only, short-life servers, a hearthy fuck you to you all.

kthxbye

That would solve all problems and complaints.

Allow players who paid for subs and hats to enjoy the new content with all their paid accounts.

+1 also make sure to remove pvp for w16 so we can have a pve slow pace server as opposed to fast-paced steam pvp slugfest

Consider adding a way to generate steam keys for verified users that players can use on steam to get verified there

I am admittedly a little saucy about having to re-verify.

To prevent new players from quitting due to getting stuck, we NEED an exhaustive search box, for people to access for figuring out the game. For exmaple, they search "Stick" and the search will tell you how to get a stick, and everything you can do with a stick. That would be very useful.

If someone doesn't know what to do, they can search " What to do next" and it'll give a CLICKABLE list of things to do next. Make it as easy as possible. Pretend the people trying the game out are lobotomized, and then go from there.

We already have something similar in ender, but it could be improved, but new players won't necessarily start by using ender.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Whether or not I play the steam release I don't think I'll be keeping up with the community as a result of these changes. Honestly don't already, with the forums being only a fraction compared to what happens on discord nowadays.

All you had to do was release W16 in two weeks and everyone would be happy, maybe do the 6 months resets. And yet you managed to somehow fuck it up.
Steam release on two ecosystems? Everyone pay again for verification and premium? Custom clients basically need a rewrite probably? Jesus, this is what happens when you listen to fuckwits like robben.
Steam release is not a bad idea by itself, but the execution literally makes it worse than jsut another world.

How long is W15 projected to last, please?

I would really appreciate if you let us know your longer range plans for W15, other than to let it keep running through the near future.

I kind of like this - the hard core players who just like to patiently play month after month can continue and the rushers who like a new world get to have a new world.

A new server so you can have a new world for the new world lovers will need to be financed, so charging people a new subscription fee if they want to play on that server seems fair. It's not like they are losing their hats or their tokens on their regular accounts. I know several people who won't use Steam for various reasons, usually to do with interface incompatibility, and this won't shut them out.

This is pretty cool and I am very interested to see how the community will develop on Steam, and what kind of a player base you end up with.

Thanks much, and best of luck!
