Hopefully that means it's at least just an edge case but still a bit scary WRT an alpha male being one of the unlucky victims - but so far it's only been a female which is less concerning.

They should really go in to hibernate 1 food tick before to stop the bug you had where if they tick and death tick at same time. Death takes priority.

Looks like I had a second death, this time an adult goat female. Didn't notice when this one died, not as close to the minehole. So I guess factor in that maybe up to around 5% of your animals will die when going into hibernation, haven't seen any males die yet but probably try to avoid leaving a solitary male before letting their food run out just in case.

Maybe it was already starving when the patch was introduced. I don't think the intention of this patch was to prevent the animal starvation deaths altogether:
Animals will, if they fail to find proper nutrition a couple of times, but are on a claim, go dormant, rather than starve to death, indicated by the animals lying down, appearing to relax.

I imagine that if you keep waking him up it will eventually die. Interacting with the animals wake them up.

Likewise, I've seen animals in my village go into hibernation mode while weren't very hungry. For example, I left a horse inside a house and the next day it was hibernating, as nobody interacted with him and there was no food nearby. Since horses don't eat much, it would take much more time for him to actually die.

Be funny if when you render them and it does the check out of order so they die.

Yes, but one of the unintended consequences of this cattle rewrite is that that should now be fixed.

Our pigs still aren't breeding. Just came to check the forum for the issue and found this. Is there anything we can do on our end to fix our current pigs?

Have you given your pigs proper education on how to do it? Maybe you just got shy boys

They really spent a couple months hyping up the game and setting schedules and successfully enticed new players yet failed to deliver. Which is really sad because they successfully found a new player population for the first time since niche forums were still a thing combo'd with Jared on youtube 15 years ago. I check the forum every few weeks and its depressing. They could be here weekly conversating with the player base and changing things up, launching the servers they contemplated, and figuring out what works, but this project is completely dead after the last 10+ years of adding birds, they hyped it up one last time as a death throe and money grab. Don't get me wrong this is my favorite game ever, but this past year concerning development and promotion has been deceptive. I think the roadmap at the start of this world was very ambitious and many of us were eager to see what was going to happen. Why are object controlled objects still in patch notes 8+ years out with no examples? just make it on roblox at this point

Im not mad havens dead, because its been dead, I'm mad that we were told to believe there was still something here.

Even when haven population was 50 people at a time during old world lag where you rubberbanded every 10 seconds at least the forums had good drama, the game had good mechanics, there was freedom. Now people are leaving bad reviews over a paved swastika. Boo hoo, we used to have immediate seiges and permanent death. If there was a grandpa emoji I'd use it.

Anyways make haven a VR game, I'm tired of begging for new worlds, VR haven is the new baseline.
