I had been cleaning up parts of the connection code a while ago, and accidentally left a line that transmitted the error message for old clients twice, but using the same message buffer, leading to it getting freed twice. The first time it happened, I thought it looked like the double-free was a random dangling pointer getting freed in completely unrelated code (which is why I was running with ASan), but it turned out to be significantly simpler than that now that I got to examine it again.

since you wont read any suggestion and just this thread can you just do this (everyone agrees and world will be better)

remove questing for satiation/hunger reduction
add slot to anvil to attach a hammer
cosmetic winter (remove winter affecting gob speed)
true randomQ nodes for animals
mine layers oreQ should be somewhat more consistent, less rng, and l9 you shouldnt have tons of q40 nodes
add more moderators to forum since 0 are active/or moderate according to your rules viewtopic.php?f=39&t=41858

^ everyone agress

majority or might be controversial:

remove permadeath/at least make it sucks a lot less to die maybe you just lose 10%-15% your feps/lp at death.

What do you think about AI? Can it help you with OCO?

Winter is weak; it needs to be strengthened. Add weather influence to gameplay.
Typhoons, hurricanes, and earthquakes are more chaotic.

Majority according to 1 guy

They should read the suggestions themselves, at least the first 20-30 pages (the pages that have lots of suggestions, after that it's mostly banter), as any recap I've seen so far is completely bias.
If they wanna save time they can feed it to an AI for a recap. At least it's a different kind of bias

DO NOT Remove Permadeath, Its what gives the sense of thrill, risk and reward, when youre in a fight, knowing youre risking your life, Death has become an important part of this game, keep it that way

I have considered your discussion topic. There is something truly insectile (in the Dostoyevskyan sense, think Karamazov) about Haven And Hearth. The skittering of many minuscule and unsavory creatures, struggling to accomplish a purpose mission they do not remotely comprehend.
If there are bugs in the Hearthlands, they are us. You either eat the bugs, or you are eaten.

I'd hardly call anything the 120 Days of Sodom of our times. » special thanks to nutters
