To make the offering you would need items from the deepest level of mines for example, metiron, something from cachalot, or make a giant squid and you need its beak, and some other hard to obtain things. The offering needs to be of specific quality or above. Would that kind of a goal be interesting for the folks here in this game?

Final bosses are anti-sandbox. Ender dragon in Minecraft situation. Players should make their own goals and decide for themselves when they have beaten the game. There's no winning. It would get botted anyway.
My goal in HnH is playing until I get bored. Some players get bored faster than others.

Anyone having trouble with mound beds? Brand new mound beds are lasting me only a couple of IRL days before running out of function. I can refill them of course, but they then run out again after a couple more days. At this rate, no trees will become active again until summer once winter hits. This looks like a significant bug, so just curious if others have noticed the same.

idk if I understand corretly from last change but seems like now u need to plant something in order to keep the normal effect, if u dont do that and just build u have to maintain it often, at least from what I noticed my moundbeds run out of water in a couple hours after refilling, then I had to plant some random stuff on them to keep it working (at least it seems to work but idk) maybe its a bug or we really need to do 2x the work to upkeep them ¦]

I actually do have items planted in those mound beds - both in the re-filled ones and the newly constructed ones. It doesn't seem to matter which. But I am playing in 16.0

same, but seems to work fine this way or at least should work, we have to wait 3 more days to see, the other way if I just build and give it water and let it rest for a few hours the water will just vanish and probably wont apply the effect during winter since it has no water idk lets wait and hope it works xd

Its probably only effecting mound beds that where build shortly before this patch. (Jorb quality code. + Seems dev's still have not picked up on this issue.)

Since my "Mound Bed"s ran out in the dead of winter: Reworked "Mound Bed" such that they can be replenished whenever they are below full levels of water/mulch. Should a "Mound Bed" deactivate due to running out of mulch/water entirely, it will need to be fully replenished before it activates again.

I am once again asking you to make it impossible to get killed from purely PVP damage unless you are in a murderous rage (excluding stuff like drowning, animal intervention, etc).

Teaching newbies is one of the things I enjoy most about this game and it's impossible to recommend to them knowing that there is always the possibility of this happening to them.

One of the few "positive" things to come out of that dumpster fire is this absolute gem of a post:

Back on-topic, imho the best way to address the conflicting concerns of "newbies are going to get killed, I can't recommend this game!" and "you can't disable PvP, people make nuisance alts!" would be some kind of deliberate system of PvP status modes.

==Innocent Blue-eyes Newbie==
Can't be killed (or perhaps even attacked in a traditional way) but anyone with a PvP status only needs to poke them to eject them back to their HF. (Taking any damage from a player source force teleports to HF?)

==Ragemode==
Mostly how everything works currently by default.

==Murderous==
Current murderous rage, but with a twist: it's contagious. (Dealing damage to a character in murderous rage equivalent fills a bar that eventually force activates it?) Design intention: if someone activates it and people around them want to maintain zero (or near-zero) chance of dying, the only option is to successfully flee. If the choose to risk it and fight, there's actual lethal PvP.

The first state would probably need to be paired with something like...
...a system that allows you to "eviction notice" random HFs and even low-effort claims near a bigger claim, without it counting as Vandalism in the same way (or not require the current Thingpeace process.)
...vulnerability window after being ejected, ie. if the nuisance alt's unprotected HF is right next to your claim you can just eject it, run to the HF and kill it.
...maybe even the option to force characters to Wilderness Spawn (as an alternative to murdering them.)
