Late on the fourth of December, when not a creature is stirring (not even a Dungeon Boreworm), Jorby Claus will read this this whole thread twice and implement all our wonderful ideas.

That said, I really struggle to imagine long term play being interesting in haven without PVP. You build your base in 1-4 weeks, and then what? Raise the quality of your carrots indefinitely? You can kill a bear or a troll with 50 strength and then the PVE side of the game is kindof over.

Maybe it would be fun for people who are new or bad, since maybe a bear or a troll presents a challenge to you if you're not experienced, but the problem with that is inexperienced people eventually become experienced people. An MMO with nothing to motivate you to keep playing longer than one month seems very... Stupid?


My friend, that's exactly what the PvE server is for. It allows players who just want to enjoy the game to build their villages at their own pace, while beginners can gain experience and switch to PvP when they get bored with PvE.

I think a lot of people underestimate the amount of pvp that would happen in a PvE world, you will be begging Jorbtar to give you a way of dealing with those trolls. if you think some isn't gonna bother building a massive dirt pile or spam stockpiles or lure bears, or build a palisade around your palisade, spam claims, spam naked alts, cut all your trees down and base any rocks, make holes, destroy any roads you make, destroy your mine supports. Lure miggies to your base.. There list is endless, there is an endless number of ways to grief you and there would be nothing you could do to stop it. No thanks.

Like others have said many times before. There's nothing preventing ppl from griefing like that now anyways. :roll:
