Didn't you just accuse this guy Pills of being a WB Ally for literally no reason? He's not, for the record. I don't even know who he is, although based on the history he posted my best guess is he's probably from Fire and Ice, a peaceful and non-aligned village this world.

Jorb appears to have picked him randomly. I checked his post history and thought he'd be good.

Then I suggest someone who has a public history of being adverse to me, and you still have a meltdown that you can't trust X person.

I echo the other sentiments expressed as to why Ard and Oddi would be inappropriate. Unlike you I'm not trying to gaslight people into thinking I'm unbiased (I'm unabashedly on the leadership team of WB), but I'm not claiming to be neutral while making posts like this:

Zentetsuken wrote:I think it's very clear that there is 1 faction trying to dominate the forums right now, and that is Whatever Bay.

I don't necessarily mind if somebody 'in a faction' is a forum moderator, and I don't think anybody else does either if they are chill.

The fact of the matter is that there is a large effort from Whatever Bay members to influence this community right now on multiple fronts and it is only becoming more brazen each day.

Zentetsuken wrote:Pills is quiet on the forum but unfortunately this is going to be a hard no for me.

He is a known ally of WB which puts him in the same camp as noidy, who you just demodded.

There are other candidates who are not affiliated with factions and can't be manipulated by ringleaders.

-1 for Pills

Zentetsuken wrote:I would like to step forward with a genuine request for moderation changes.

Please understand that this is not in retaliation to any recent happening.
This is a legitimate ask based on a simple and innocent lack of knowledge on the dev's behalf.

I request the demodding of noindyfikator.

Moderating him was a conflict of interest since day 1, and that conflict of interest has only become more apparent over time.

He is directly affiliated with an ingame faction that is particularly contrarian in this community, and because of this there is a very noticeable bias in his actions.

In the interest of keeping the forums less bias in the coming of a new world (especially a new world that may see a dramatic increase in traffic here due to Steam), I think it's genuinely important to remove him now.

There are many suitable candidates for replacements, and vatas is doing a fine job.

Thanks

Insults/disrespect won't help your goal and then you will be here again complaining about stuff not being done your way smh

(Sentiment being him not having chosen them) It's pretty clear you just want it to be done your way (again btw, noneck was such an unbiased mod ah yes).
After having a sock-puppet mod in your faction I really don't think it's in any way appropriate for you guys to even have a say in the next one.

I'm not the leader of anything and I don't know why you need to keep bringing politics into this.

Just let jorb pick who he picks and relax. I don't know why you guys need to come into every thread and start fights.

The state of the forum has been pretty damn appaling recently and with the steam release incoming I'm glad to see the moderator team bolstered. It has been honestly puzzling lately, to see tens of blatant shitposting accounts created - not to mention the shitposting itself - and mods not doing anything about it. I appreciate and respect the hands off apporach of jorb but as shown, certain people will go out of their way to plaster drama all over the place. Genuinely looking forward to higher quality of discussion with W16 starting!

I hate to inform you of this, but Haven is a very dramatic community. There's always some buzz about someone getting sieged or someone losing months of play time to one wrong swim. This is why picking the right moderator is extremely important. Hands off with a sprinkle of justice is usually best.
