As for me it will be better remove loading screen when you move from object to object and then fix cupboard.

Not sure what you're talking about. What loading screen is there when "moving from object to object", and how does the cupboard make it go away? That sounds like nothing I recognize.

after your joke about decay underground i think that you want to remove cupboards as underground storage.
Decay in caves when. ¦]

and after i talk with villagers they say that you want to make chest more popular for moving items.
so what do you want to make, because i think that you want remove cupboards from underground and after that people will make lots of chests or make a lots of houses which means you would have to go in and out a lot, or change floors thus get a lot more loading screens

There's a tiny bit of wait whenever the client needs to load a new area (entering/leaving a house or cave, using long roads, etc). It's generally not a problem, but would definitely become very frustrating if you have to enter a house whenever you need to grab an item.

Also of note is that the wait becomes non-trivial to the tune of sometimes multiple seconds on slower connections and/or PCs (not sure what's the bottleneck here), but I think Vert is just referring to the tiny waits in normal situations.

Its because mine levels are basically big houses that you choose the size of with a bonus of being able to build ovens and smelters.
I would choose a big house over some tiny ass tower any day.
To contain all my shit I would have to have so many houses its insane. The constant going in and out of doors would be very tiring too.

I found it.

The difference is that this Chest with items inside it you can put in a boat, for example, but the cupboard - no. This is a different usecase.

Don't see that as a negative. Its an overall better container and fulfills what you requested.
Or are you saying its too good?

And now imagine that each of your cupboard in the game requires materials like in the chest that you showed.

Beyond the obvious ridiculousness of the cost, it takes up more space than a cupboard and such chests cannot easily neatly be aligned side to side, making them less usable for mass storage. As far as I'm aware this is only reasonably possible with cupboards.

@devs: If people moving goods around using cupboards is a problem, why not just revert to the old rule that cupboards with items inside cannot be picked up?

He answered this in the C&I discussion on the matter. To summarize: better to be able to rearrange things easily.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
