I really do fear it's going to lead to some degenerate strategies and the answer is to tune it down and bring skill based movement back.

I feel like the whole click the critter during pvp was stupid, might have increased the skill celling in pvp, but also increased pvp entry level and frustrated most of the less pvp interested players.
I'm really glad we finally got rid of it. I'm sure no one is going to miss it in a long run.

Regarding SoS and Cleave meta. I can see that most ppl agree that SoS is not actually stronger than cleave meta, but it's strong enough to somewhat compete given big enough group is using it.
I do think it's a good thing we have a viable alternatives, especially if it's something less skilled players can use.
I think that getting more people interested in pvp is a good thing, but I can also understand "top pvpers" being worried that if more ppl start to pvp they might lose their personal playground.
So far I can see a group of players dead set on making as much other players quit the game as possible, shouting the loudest to get the changes benefiting themselves only, succeeding and than complaining that the game is dead and no one is playing it, especially 2-3 months into the world.

dafels wrote:What "skill" are you on about when you're talking about forager/bunny slippers, it seems mostly just to be a client feature to be able to right click a critter as quick as possible and it is a good thing they get rid of this bs. I agree there should be a way to clip the opponent as in older worlds. There was a time when no matter how good your stats were you could be taken down by just someone who was more skilled in movement and not some properitary shit like having forager credo/ bunny slippers in inv&client features

I agree with you idk what these complainers are on about. The main problem with it in my opinion was that the effect did not only apply to rabbits and squirrels, but pretty much every single "small" creature/animal including toads, frogs, live curios such as dragonfly, butterfly, and so on. Most players probably weren't even aware that they could use pretty much any right clickable entity to increase their speed.

No, it's disingenuous to claim that there is a high level of skill involved (or any skill at all tbh) in something so rudimentary. More often I would have been successful in escaping someone if not for stupid random critters popping up all over and allowing a bad chaser to catch up simply because they can click on a frog.

Underrated comment. ITT: pvpers arguing about role of slippers in a combat system devoid of skill.

Where cutblades? Second meteorite btw, the one where Felix bois wrecked you before it. On the first one i don't think anyone even saw you.]
Btw. It's my bad, i should've made a complaint about SoS after 2nd meteorma since then we could have had a nice discussion about it, without all those tards from WB screeching because they take this game too seriously/they know pvp would be way harder without their brainless meta/don't care about pvp actually being fun.

On the topic of slippers + forager, i do like not having required shoes and credo. But the speedboosts from clicking critters was skill expression and taking it away kinda sucks, it should've been moved to a skill (idk make a 10k lp skill called "Small Game Hunting" or smth that gives it). Also it gave hermits an easy way to escape a pursuit if they just bothered to click the critters (They don't but that's a skill issue), rn they depend purely on getting speedboosts.

It's not meta, but even if it was, once your done impersonating Kilakan for cheap thrills the weeks after his mother died, go ahead and ask him what deck we decided on after doing group spars at the end of W14 before W15 launched.

Why do you think we all went to the first meteor fight with cutblades?

Misa literally said in haven discord that you copied us. Another weird Robben take... smh
