Consider this thread your opportunity to chime in on this subject however you may wish to do so. What do you think would make the release as successful as it can be? There is plenty of time for us to pivot on pretty much anything regarding this, and we want to be open to feedback and suggestions.

I have something to say. Definetly it's not short pvp worlds. But players like to begin game in new worlds and wait for them. And don't like when there is not enough time. Parallel worlds can be solution for that. 2-3 worlds. So active players won't be limited at time and new players could begin in relatively new worlds.

The game isn't ready for Steam F2P non early access. There's a high risk it'll get nuked in reviews. Going with early access and really nailing the setting of expectations might work out though.
Watching the stream they seem like they aren't really ready themselves, there are important things they don't know and don't seem to have a solid plan for.
A Steam release isn't a dip your toes in and see what happens kind of thing, you have to try your absolute best because if you screw it up it can take years to repair the damage.

Does this mean the current world will stay up or new world for non steam users?

Kinda falls flat for a few as this does little to resolve problems so far. If we got a gold sub here we lost all when moving to steam? that would be kinda shitty tbh

-1

just feeling overall deflated with this stream.

Not liking the idea of 3-4 month worlds, think they should had tried to stick to their original idea of a persistent world.
The idea that there is nothing Really game changing in this stream
The idea, it seems at present, those who put up real life money for subs seems like they are not getting any love here.

3-4 month is way to short, make it atleast 6-12 months.
And you should reconsider an ACTUAL persistent permanent world.
