Storm of Swords is currently superior because I have never heard this many people cry about Cleave, therefore it is the best move in the game because it makes people the most upset

The damage, IP, and nuances are irrelevant.

I challenge PVPers to practice and find the new anti-SoS meta, rather than cry and complain about it

Alternatively, to find a meta that is equally upsetting and obscure.

People don't like new things, especially autists. This is clear. Your reputations are on the line, and being bad at pvp is inexcusable. Who are you if you can't defend against SoS? Just a sprucecap? These are existential times.

Please move forward and do better. As your community manager, I believe in you. You have what it takes.

Merry Christmas, lads.

Another part of the equation in making “Storm of Swords” - which, again, opens yellow very efficiently - overtuned is Zig Zag Ruse, certainly the best reduction for Yellow. That is, Zig is the only move to cooldown fast enough and give enough of a yellow reduction to be viable against a fast and high-opening move like storm.

Zig Zag ruse’s downside for being a reasonable yellow and red reduction is giving your opponent(s) IP, which usually isn’t a huge deal since it’s less than IP most moves take. The problem here is that Zig Zag gives every opponent 2 IP which is exactly how much IP SoS costs. So each time you reduce the openings caused by a single SoS you are “reloading” SoS for everyone in combat against you, essentially making the IP system pointless. Note that no other yellow reduction can keep up with Storms even in a 1v1.

I therefore propose: in addition to reducing the amount it opens, Storm’s IP cost should be increased to at least 3. It should not be free (or worse in group fights) against the only PVP-viable yellow reduction.

Speed buffs from "Forager" credo and "Bunny Slippers" have been inverted. Rather than making you run faster, they now make animals chased run slower.

Love this, the tactic of chasing critters to get a speed boost was terrible.

Have an happy new year, Jorb and Loftar!

With this patch will previously blocked caves with palisades change in any way or just new ones?

I'm sorry, who gathered 4 different pvp factions to kick over a market-town because they couldn't do it on their own? (And still failed to do much)

Don’t forget to destroy existing Cave Palisade Traps and nuke the villages of the Cheaters who made them!

Even when you're not on a horse now. Entering on foot used to always work, now it usually doesn't work on the first try if you approach it from the side. Due to my base layout this happens very, very often for me.

In other words: "I'm giving my opponent free IP, and now he's attacking me with it"? Have you considered not giving your opponent free IP when they use a SoS deck? To me this sounds like a reason to ignore the cries to nerf SoS as you seem to be autopiloting the old meta and feeding directly into your opponent's strategy.

If it really is not feasible to restore yellow without giving your opponent tons of IP (lack of alternatives), then therein lies the problem. But the restoration giving 2 IP is obviously the wrong pick against the strategy that relies on spamming a 2 IP move. Even Jump is obviously better in this situation than Zig-Zag Ruse. (In other games there have been worse options used as counter-meta, e.g. Slash Panther in MTG's Vintage format.)

I'll make an analogue so you can understand.
Imagine your mother's boyfriend trying to beat shit out of you. Using jump to escape him is not feasible, because it's seventh floor, so the only thing remains to do is running zig-zag hoping that this drunk black man will eventually crash into something while giving you a kick in the ass at every zig-zag. That's how desperate situation is.
Hope it was helpful, cheers.
