How is this even a argument? you got almost a 1000 post and people cant even tell who u are still.. does that just make u irrelevant both on forums and in pvp or does it just make you another one in the list of yes sayers to circle jerk eachother on the forums?

Consider just giving everyone all the movement buffs behind will to power, hunting, or something cheap like that if not outright. Or maybe make a super cheap skill blatantly labelled PVP movement. idk thanks for the revert though.

Okay so think about it for a second, just a second. What if, instead of complaining about critter reversal (i think bunny slippers buff should be on some skill but I digress) and crying how poor hermits (you, everyone who cries about it is a hermit in my eyes) will get fucked because of it, you'd actually learn how to click the damn things even if it's on the map (ardclient can make them a lot bigger and easy to click, but let's stay with map) and you will be able to run away from any unwanted pvp encounter instead of getting fucked because of lack of water/food.
I know radical idea to get better at the game and actually use the mechanics provided to you so you can run away easier.

I do agree that bunny slippers shouldn't be a thing and their ability should be moved somewhere (i think it's good that rabbits are high-value critters, because it makes for some fun plays while other critters are not that big of a deal even if missed)

derkami wrote:Having so many restrictions on where to place them (e.g. nope on forest terrain, not flat enough blabla) is really annoying.
I guess I can understand why they should be placed on a river, but most people try to avoid any water contact other than for docks and then they aren't on rivers so this is something that needs be accounted for.
Having another building at a remote location, not placeable on lakes, with the only function to automatically grind stuff, doesn't feel like a good incentive to build them if you haven planned for that ahead of time.

I don't know why you people are having such issues placing them. I had no problem at all. You need to flatten the ground a little bit (that small line of dirt that will not be flattened does not prevent you from building, as you can also see in the screenshots already posted). As for forest ground, it's like any other building. Just stomp to dirt and you're good to go.

derkami wrote:Maybe create a Poll mechanism for that? Let the community in game have a say in it.

I had the same thought, but how do you check who's voting? Lots of players have multiple accounts, and another good bunch have never interacted with the forum (so their post count is low, in case that was considered a way to check if it's a main account or an extra account)

On the bunny slipper topic, I'd like to point out something. Some people complain about those against it not having "skill". And yet they need clients that give them several advantages in pvp (from simple flat ground and hiding trees, to larger critters, auto-swap equipment, and possibly other stuff). We all know that not all clients are available to everyone, and even if they were it's a moot point. The game is supposed to be played with default client.
Custom clients are great for QoL, but shouldn't be a requirement to have a chance in a pvp encounter.

So Devs, please take that into account when making this kind of changes. I shouldn't have to use a 3rd party software to play the game.

Just keep the rabbit speed buff but remove the requirement having to wear the slippers at this point.

I think you guys are making a mountain out of a molehill with the bunny slipper thing. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of valid arguments for needing bunny slippers 24/7 being cringe, but they're really minor complaints even if you're only looking to compare it to stuff in the same category.

If you're annoyed you always have to wear slippers and it's cumbersome to switch to plateboots then having to carry hussars and switch between that and a backpack is an x100 worse version of the same complaint.

If you don't like that scripts are useful in combat coracles/skiis needing a script to enter/exit instead of just being an equippable swimming animation/mechanic change is an x1000 worse version of the same complaint.

If you just care about combat being fun or not just a stat/numbers check SOS is an x100 worse version of the same complaint.

If you care about overall balance/people losing because they didn't have the right piece of equipment winter vehicles being egregiously retarded is x100000 worse.

We're only talking about this because it's the flavor of the month, not because anybody cares all that much

@jorb - bunny slippers are shit and should be disabled, cause it's simple just not fair. Or there should be another option for those who do not want to participate in PvP. Don't get me wrong, leave the PvP but only for those who wants to fight with each other. Especially that PvP in current stage is not fair most of the time. Bunny slippers just make it even more unfair. My arguments:

- Attackers are most of the time from big villages. They always have better gear, better stats and more friends (they fight 3vs1 or 2vs1).
- Attackers are oriented mostly on fight. They don't waste time on mining, farming or crafting, cause they have people for that. I have job, family and life - can't play 16h a day to do all that stuff and keep up with fighting.
- Don't have any friends on call to help me if I need more people to fight
- They attack without asking, just for fun. I find "fun" in exploration, mining trolls, animal hunting, progressing from spruce to q200 clay. Theirs "fun" takes my "fun" away
- When I do Nomad credo, I feel such stress when I go 15km to the tree to do the quest, that I really got shaky hands after that, cause I know that if I met someone, I'd be KOed and robbed instantly.
- They got bots where I do everything by hand. I tried to use it, but it took all fun from the game. I don't want to use bots, but otherwise I'm harmed if I don't use it.
- They got special clients that show them critters and automatically boost their speed. Even if I'll be good at catching critters, program will be always better at it.

It's so sad that the game is made only for big villages. They always get best buffs, advantage in fight and even updates for them. Again I, as small player, don't get any chance if I don't want to join communistic big village, where I need to be a living bot for mining and farming, giving my share to public and got kicked off if I don't play much.

And I know they will hate me, calling me spruce and so on, but I don't give a shit about them. I know how to play, I know my value, cause I play this game for 10+ years and for me it's best game ever, just unfair. I'm curious if they could survive playing alone without support of their retarded friends. I play with my friend casually and I fear when I leave the village. I fear when I meet someone outside. I build village far away from anyone. Cannot build near swamps, rivers, oceans and mountains cause always there are these fucks who will "kill for fun".

The best update was KO instead of death, but still, I can get robbed. It's not a big deal, but it's so time consuming to replace everything - locks (from lost slave key), making gear (silk, hardened leather, steel - it takes time...), making new tools and even waterskins, loosing good horse... And wasting 1-2 days for healing cause one fuck attacked me instead of saying "hi" when I tried to use thingwall...

The PvP in my opinion should have a little rework, so less experienced players or small villages are not disadvantaged. Not everyone wants to fight in PvP! If I'm forced to do that, then I want to have at least some chance...

maenven wrote:I don't think reverting the change of the bunny slippers was the right way to do this. Downloading a client to automate a speed increase by auto-targeting small game is not skilled based and creates a much bigger barrier to entry/turn off for newer players as well as a big turn off for people who are looking to get into the pvp scene.
The bunny slipper as the only viable footwear in game for pvp is boring when there are so many cooler options in game.
If people are mad about the slowness of on foot movement, why not just make it so having shoes equipped increases your speed on foot in general, with adjustments to movement speed based on the footwear type? I feel like this would at least make a trade off for armor vs speed more interesting in pvp (granted I am fairly inexperienced in this area so I can't say for sure) as well as give spruce caps a better chance to get away from griefers.

Absolutely agreed. Using the chase speed buff during PvP is obviously not the intended mechanic, more akin to an exploit. And most of all... Battle is supposed to be serious, I don't want to wear cute bunny slippers to battle! If the people want a speed buff, it should be on something less demeaning - maybe war sandals?
I love this setting.

No offense, instead of building a shitty house with new machines, that people are already going to use to grief people, and maybe spend the time adding those machines to the windmill?? The windmill is quite pointless, sure it's space and slightly faster milling, but at what cost? Neither quarns nor windmills effect quality, the biggest difference is that quarning you can at least get the crushed husk curio. Water Mills are pointless when you have a Windmill that's already completely under utilized.
