I can't be arsed trying to remember my Twitch account to take part in the discussion over there, but in regard to the handful of people doomposting about shorter worlds being too much grinding and will promote burnout, all I have to say to that is this -
What the fuck are you smoking? The reason people drop the game is because of grind burnout ALREADY. Feeding animals, doing chores, quality grinding, feeding your character, constantly curio runs, endless quality grind, dogshit endgame in general. That's why people drop the game. Nobody gets fucking burned out from starting anew, it is a well-known fact that the start of a new world is the best part which is why it generates so much hype and pulls in thousands of players consistently every single time and GUESS FUCKING WHAT, IF YOU DO GET BURNED OUT FROM THAT, THEN SKIP A WORLD WHILE REMAINING COMFORTABLE IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU WON'T NEED TO WAIT A FUCKING YEAR+ BEFORE IT RESETS.
Everybody knows the early/mid game in Haven is solid, late game sucks ass.
This change is a positive specifically because it addresses the burnout and monotony of the worst parts of Haven and replaces them with the best parts.
6 month long worlds will be perfect, I know it for a fact because it was revealed to me in a vision. Worlds will be around long enough for you to have your fill of early, mid and late game while not overstaying their welcome.

Bitch about the Steam release having a separate world, bitch about needing to rebuy verifications (I'm fine with both of these tbqhwy) but bitching about 6-month long worlds is fucking retarded. That alone right there is one of the absolute best things that could have happened. It's the thing I've been wanting to happen for years, and I know it's going to be a well-liked change once people experience it. Worlds currently have overstayed their welcome, maintaining a world for like 50+ people (numbers say around 100 but there's no shot they aren't dual boxing multiple characters) for 6+ months on a basically dead world while most people are begging for a reset on the forum and in discord for months is completely retarded.
Shorter worlds are the best change I've heard in literal years. Not even joking.

Bitch i have a job, tryharding in hafen for 3 months every year is a huge time investment, if resets were every 3 months i would quit every world A LOT faster. 6 months is a lot better.

Can you add ability to show trees/stones/bushes of which sees/boughts/rocks/berries ect you haven't discovered on map? Would be really nice quality of life.

I didn't even mention 3-month worlds in that post. I said 6 months. 6-month world length cannot and will not be a negative point.
If they want to try a 3-month world first I wouldn't cry about it, though IMO 3 months does feel too short to fully reach and get your fill of 'end game'.

Weird feeling unsure if I am gonna play the new world. Losing my cat in the hat hat might be too emotional to face.

I dont get wat part of this im supposed to be hyped about tbh

essentially theres nothing new but we have to pay for shit we already paid for, the world is gonna be 3 months and custom clients probably wont work

Ive seen a few games do steam release and the player count hype is usually underwhelming, so were trading all these negatives just for a potential positive of a world with more players but its not even guaranteed cuz playerbase is split and idk if casual pve players are even into a 3 month wipe

this stream started with "steam" which was hype and then every word that followed kinda killed the hype
