minor suggestions:
- would be nice if we could see how many hearth fires we have under our royal claim, double nice if we could see only the active ones, let's say those who last logged on no longer than 24 hours ago
- kingdom chat should be available for everyone who lives under the realm, not just for those who are oathed
- when you check if your realm is being challenged it should also say when was the last time it was challenged
ekzarh wrote:So as I see it now - royal burial is available to everyone more often than they normally die.

that wouldn't be a problem if it didn't give additional 30% of stats to already ridiculous 60%, how is this game permadeath again
and do you realize you can only count on getting your dead body back if you die to environment?

Make a new topic to C&I - here it will be swallowed - ideas seem ok.
Winners get 90% for their war casualties, losers get 60%, sore losers get 30%.
I like the idea of 'either corpse + skull or royal burial' resulting in maximum of 60% achieved in different ways.

Also, check my another thought on the issue:

I strongly suggest that it is hermits, casuals and new players who should save more progress than rich royal buriers. Even though I am one of that rich royal buriers myself. =)

Oh, also.
Provided 500 xp is per RL day
Since it's 1:1 relation - every active player in a kingdom generates enough authoruty to maintain from 0.5 to 4 statues.
Meaning, big kingdom can hold many many statues and keep authority at max.
20 players like me, 60 statues, +60 stats...
Newbie starting with 61 exploration would be loyal as a dog.

I thought that would be a nice thing too and players who enter the realm should only appear as ??? in the chat if you don't have them memorized or kinned

Don't forget to include:

[*] Border Cairns drain 10 Auth/RL Day.

so say you have a moderately sized kingdom of 200 cairns, that's already 2000 auth a day plus 500 for the stone

I don't.
Like I said before - me alone could make 2-4k exp a day in far from optiomal conditions - enough to maintain a moderately sized kingdom.
Also, it gives even more fun to choose between expanding the territory to cover more players or attracting players by making territory more bonus-giving.
If I would be a ruler - I would go for a simple strategy:
- Kingdom territory auth drain should be always less than exp generated by the Capital (Realm owner village).
- All exp provided by another kingdom inhabitants goes to buff-maintenance.

This way you make sure that worst case you sacrifice bufss, but never territory.
If it is clearly stated as a realm policy (on forums or in Realm chat) - players know why to produce more exp and how inviting more people would positively impact them.

dude 2-4k exp is a lot, if I were making that every day I'd have dug a well twice already. Not everyone is setting up experience obstacle courses in their place and not everyone has had the luxury of building their kingdom where they already live, the ability to do that came a bit late.

So, I recall in another thread you suggested that if someone is claimed over they try building at a further edge of the map and claim inwards but have you tried this yourself? It's hardly a feasible option to do that, you can barely maintain the auth you need to keep your realm alive once the kingdom starts getting bigger because not enough players with hearthfires are living out there. If you want to attract players now you would need to build the buff statues as well as maintain a kingdom of a fairly decent size and it's rather difficult to even get to that point if you weren't one of the initial realms to be built.
