I'd really, really prefer to not introduce additional claim magic.

Hearth magic: instantly dries a wrecking ball if it's on a claim you directly own.

Let's ask for feedback, then stop addressing peoples concerns in the thread and just implement the thing without addressing any of the pointed out issues! Great job wasting another week of development time on the next failed siege system!

Apparently, it's not so bad as I thought at first.
Handdashing of siege mechanisms shouldn't be possible tho.

To be fair, we had many of your objections in mind when implementing and tweaking the system, but we felt that, to the extent that they were true, they should be subject to adjusting various numbers rather than intrinsic to the system.

Going to restart the server again in a few minutes to add 24-hour charge requirements for using a battering ram on: Knarrs, village authority objects and pclaim stakes. Please let me know if there's some other thing in that list that I've missed.

Why tho?

Because two hours seems far too little, and it has been 24 hours thus far?

Granger wrote:Simple: don't cascade endlessly when breaking a wall with a Wrecking Ball or a Battering Ram, but only remove the tile targeted and 1-3 to each side.

Make removing a tile damage the adjacent walls to 5% health (95% damage) and define that level of disrepair as easily hand-bashable (15 seconds with reasonable strength), though while on an active claim only possible with vandalism permission (not via criminal acts).
Destroying such a damaged segment by hand will only damage (as above), but not completely destroy, any adjacent ones.

Perhaps. I don't like the introduction of claim magic to it, though.

Rams will be destroyed before they’re ever used unless built inside a safe pali. You’ll never have the actually siege system tested. Hand bashing Alts for the win! Making them non hand bashable was the only thing that made this siege idea remotely possible. So what? Another year before sieging is possible? Too Fucking scared to take the game back to having risk Incase youre already depleting player base quits because they got raided.
