I think there's a history of when PVP feels too forced ppl just stop engaging or going at all. Kinda like with meteors w11. More casual with more people able to participate is prolly better for long term sustainable pvp instead of 1 month of brutality then nothing

Dont forget gank fest for outlaws u can easily continue playing the game with out getting outlawed but if u decide to spice it up u should be ready for the consequences. make outlaw actually being outlawed.

i shouldnt be able to slaughter 100s of hermits carefree

I suppose maybe theft is a bit harsh for hermits trying to get in to crimes could also keep peering for vandal/murder its really up for debate how spicy it should be.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

If that feature were implemented, attaching an xp cost + cooldown to peering would probably make it enough of a hassle to bot that most wouldn't.

This sounds really cool.

My dissenting opinion is that this would lead to seriously asscrack shenanigans without serious restrictions.

Maybe it could be a ritual to peer through a scent that has to be carried out at a Dolmen and consumes it in the process, seeing as the lore around those is that they're magical altars for punishing criminals

This is not a pvp mmo. Neither was Salem. Not even close. You want those types mmos they are dead. Shadowbane was KING. Darkfall was second. If you are not old enough to have experienced Shadowbane - you missed out on one of the best pvp sandbox territory controlled mmos ever constructed.

There is just too much redundant meta micro ass shit to manage. And the map in this game is just too large (and its a pita to travel far as active pvp goes), and there is nothing really to fight over. Plus I do not even think the engine will support that much network traffic if few dozen clients are logged into one area going at it? Shit it lags me with 3-4 alts are logged in next to each other ¦]

This game is more a logistical loot horde game. You gank peoples RL time on all the shit they have horded versus hording it yourself. Rinse and repeat.

What you end up (when that's said and done) is a few TITAN ASS characters doing their rounds and looking for anyone and anything to f up. Salem was the same way..

At least this game has an active dev who wipes the worlds periodically. Or it would have died a horrible death as did Salem.

This game would actually draw in WAY more revenue if sections of the map were PvE only...could at least build some sort of community. Without it, it's that exploited/unbalanced..

Just my .02

*cheers*

That they are dead doesn't mean they were not good as you have pointed out. It's just easier to grab cash from 12yo kids and teach them how to gamble with mommies credit card and make sure noone can harm them in any way in an mmo (personal loot, no pvp in the open world etc etc). Well this sounds kind of evil, it's probably not as extreme everywhere but most/ all modern mmos go towards being very family friendly. The money comes from the casuals, the casuals stay longer around that way. That's good for the revenue but in my opinion makes the game trash.

I agree tho that there could be some sort of starting continent that is pve only, it will probably be congested etc and should probably not have all the sickest qualities, so once you got the hang of the game maybe you should be motivated towards crossing the ocean and play "the real game" or just chill there and enjoy whatever keeps you there. That's a shitload to manage tho, imagine how much griefing could go on if people can not be punished for it. You basically have 2 different games in one game at this point

Disabling PvP in a sandbox game where you build and shit is a great way to guarantee people will grief in a variety of ways even worse than normal pvp.
