Basically advertised as a f2p mmo when it isn't really f2p as without premium you are capped on skills and so on. (Depending what your goals are) Haven is perfectly playable with 100% f2p - but you do want the Verification+Subscription if you plan to stat grind with any degree of seriousness.

Of course the "perfectly playable" does not include PvP - even if you do the sort of defeatist "sweaty tryhard coming after my sprucecap ass is going to have more than x2 my stats anyway" you can carry more water with the inventory buffs. If the chase is long enough, the deciding factor starts to become "who has more water" (IIRC people have said that people who do know how to run away, should be able to drop aggro long before that.)

Tangent for Jorb:
(Jorb, we've had forager+bunnyslippers speed bonuses active, neither active, can we finally try "forager only?" At least theoretically, this would benefit people who are trying to escape "sweaty tryhards" assuming they have completed Forager Credo (reasonable ask) and know how to run away (big ask.) Same applies to Bunny Slippers, problem is that currently they're the only viable footwear for going outside(at least in terms of PvP.)

If the goal is to lift up the worst shidders in the game worrying about forager/bunny slipper speed bonuses is a red herring. Running away is very easy, it's just not intuitive for everybody, and there's nothing in the game that simulates any aspect of it outside of other players.

If you want to save the nabs, you should spend 100% of your time advocating mechanical in game tutorials. Shit like progress being locked behind catching a bunny, but catching a bunny being similar to chasing a player. Having to get away from animals by taking speed buffs+running in a straight line+drinking properly. Even a few minutes of disguised tutorials per week would have a huge impact. There are too many people who have accounts from 2009 who can't click in a straight line and drink.

you realistically need about 5 waterskins to get away unless you're bad then 10 is good

if it aint broke, dont fix it - vatas the change from before was rly bad for worse players. at best they could just make the bunny slipper buff either universal or bound to forager too

+1 as evidenced by the fact that
the same noob shitters who whined and astroturfed for weeks to have bunny slipper/forager speedbuffs removed, including brigading an entire devstream with their villagers, IMMEDIATELY flipped and advocated for the speed boosts to be restored once they realized such boosts did in fact advantage the chasee which they and their meatshields typically are

the evidence is right there, we chased noindyfikator for 30 minutes straight slowly attempting to kill him while he couldnt get away because of the bunny slipper change (and his bad skill at running because he's an inferior fighter which this change was """"supposed to"""" help)

he wouldve escaped in 5 minutes if he found 2 convenient rabbits and a speedboost or two

And btw, this was suggested multiple time in the interval when they removed both those buffs. Nobody likes the chasing speed being bound to forager and bunny slippers, but the chasing speed itself shouldn't be removed, make a skill after hunting called Pursuing or w/e for 1,5k lp that does it and literally everyone would prefer it over bunnyslippers, or just add it to everyone for free, there is no point in gating it.

These buffs are literally favouring the one escaping, instead of their removal they should be added by default to everyone and then a tutorial should explain it, idk make you aggro a boar and have you run away from it. I feel like people don't consider the fact that the one chasing gets 1% ms boost and can cut your path whenever you change directions so the critters are the one thing helping you increase the distance.
