Fairly sure it'll be fine.

Thank you for input!

Did I misunderstand? Is the rat dungeon something that will only happen during christmas time/winter time? Otherwise, I question the loot table, the quality and the amount. It takes a long long time to produce Midnight Blue Cheese, and even longer to produce it in the quality someone has recieved from the rat dungeon now. Not even taking into account the whole infrastructure needed to make that quality of cheese happen in the first place. Why create an elaborate system of cheesemaking, when you are cheesing that same system in a patch? Pun intended.

If it is true that one can force the spawn of such a thing by building multiple houses, even worse - because that will be exploited. I am concerned, not because I will have my "whale meat to myself". It is just horribly unbalancing, and seemingly done without a thought of the long term consequences - and that worries me.

Best way to balance rat dungeon cheese is to make it dependent on % of cheese produced in the world and pool it, like questgiver items or floatsam.

I do think limiting the upper tier cheeses (maybe tier 3-4?) to chest loot, leaving the big cheese chunks as being only tier 1-2 cheeses, would probably be prudent

its "day 5 of 15" in winter and Im still getting cockblocked by uniced rivers, lakes and random patches of grass - i cant roam on snekk obviously and i cant just roam on sled/ski because randomly blocked every other river etc its so boring

I think most of the "make winter longer" complaints also stem from this problem.

Upon further reflection I think I agree that this is a massive cuck hombre tier boondoggle but I still like it and think it should stay mostly untouched

just changing a fair bit of the loot tables for rat dungeons into having curd instead of ready to use cheese, will still give a nice reward for everyone, without beign too OP, as you will still need at least a part of the infrastructure to mature cheese (and early on wood will cap said cheese ql), and need to wait for the cheese to be ready.

I have been watching people spam houses in bulk in an attempt to spawn dungeons. I assure you this is not healthy. (Also not the biggest fan of the weapon, prolly fine if spears could be made before anvil i guess though)

rat dungeon cheese is as big of a blunder as curio melding was
makes me fearful of new dungeons to come
what other endgame items will they potentially add to the reward table just because it fits and is funny

One could make the dungeon spawn from killing cave rats...
