They'd probably, and I don't even think it would be a bad idea, just make it use rough polish

I feel like that just goes the other way and makes it less enticing compared to Fine Study Desk, especially since a lot of people will reserve early Wax for mineholes, so by the time you have Wax to spare you might just make the better desk. It should just take 4 glues like it used to.

add something for early game -> hey this is obsolete bcs of X you can get in the first 40 minutes of gameplay -> we need to make X more expensive so ppl use the early game thing
Are you people listening to yourselves?

It literally is a solution in search of a problem. Creating that problem might at least give it some retroactive meaning. Right now I figure the main use is going to be a scary magic circle for your alchemy lab, as soon as the ankle-high circle of loose wood blocks and bones stop acting like a full size forcefield.
Also, game is in development, we're running an EXPERIMENTAL WORLD right now, might as well say fuck it and change balance around. Nevermind that this would have been on time two weeks ago, not now, but what can you do. Sweden gives, Sweden takes.

I don't really know why everyone is so upset about this, I for one am thankful I don't have to make a study desk for every alt I make.

They’re upset in general and taking it out on Jorb hence affecting his willingness to give us more. He literally made a cloud hat to either consciously or not tell us he's disassociating from all this shit. Think of his developments as gifts - would you want to give gifts to a bunch of screaming kids? I would kick those kids personally so he’s doing better than I would.

Just say: "Thanks bro, we love you, thanks for making this awesome game, keep up the great work, ur kinda hot in a sweaty druid kinda way" and watch

The playerbase morale is very evidently quite low, but I do hope Loftorb understands that it comes from a place of, big word here, genuine care. (Most) people aren't complaining because they hate H&H and think it's shit and should die. Even creatures such as S*ail probably also care, in their own, twisted and depraved, way. After all, if people did hate the game then it would he very weird for them to stick around and not just go play something else they like more.
I don't want to overstate our importance here either but for many players Haven is also very much a passion project just as it is for the developers. You don't really keep coming back to a game for 10, 20 years unless the devs are doing something right. Once you have hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of hours (often very late hours because the fucking claim isn't dry yet) poured into an obscure Swedish game about basket weaving it becomes, at least a little, a part of you, so it's not great to see when it hits a rough patch.
Also, if you look at the broader gaming community in the past few years I think the overwhelming spirit amongst the players nowadays is that Gamedevs need to be regularly beaten or else they forget how to make good games - see review bombing and such, so that might be impacting people too.
While I don't think it's really that effective if you do have a direct line to developers and should be mostly reserved to keeping the corporate scum in check, blindly walking up the devs ass with no lube will ultimately hurt them as much as it hurts the one doing the walking.
Here's to the long delayed but inevitable release of OCO.
tl:dr Grumblers will grumble, yet the Guard dies but does not surrender.

Not everything is about money! You can have all the money in the world and still be miserable! He's an artist at the end of the day and deserves to be paid for his work but what generates it is LOVE. NOT MONEY. If he is CLEARLY not motivated by money - THATS A GOOD FUCKING THING and we're fucking lucky to have him. If you want to see people actually run by money, go talk to the literal parasites running token black markets in this game. Ask if those people are happy.

They obviously prioritize money over maintaining integrity, otherwise they would seek out a better method for funding instead of tokens that only make it more convenient to RMT and ruin the game.
