Arguably they can't in Haven either, though.

In truth is it more lie.

More advanced (and well paying players so they are that advanced), rip across the country side ruining and pillaging while killing every thing they see move and so on? BW pish those wont matter in a few months with the botters out there.

Yes, simple fun is what brings people, cause there are so much games to try, if you dont have fun in early/mid game, you leave.
And brickwall and siege is the end game.
I dont have an answer, but if there could be little fights without consequenses between noobs, that would attract new players.
Perhaps lowering the soak of palissades, as its a non issue for raiders, but hard to destroy for beginers.
And noobs could have a revenche if nidbanes would not require metal, say mini nidbanes without metal but you can only spawn 1 or 2/target.

And about "technically alpha... Priced like the best game ever made.", you cant forget that you can play 2h/day with a fixe $15, that is huge : full monthly price is for very dedicaced player, and its OK that they are those who help the game development.

About "mostly it's just complains about catching up with people who started earlier", Eve still atract a lots of players.

Maybe rephrase that to "shouldn't be able to"?

As it is, the only protection new players have is being able to hide in a corner or find an established village with proper protections.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

We will see, I think they said it was a small patch while they kept working on something bigger.
