Development Headsup for 21/9

We've been developing...

... and this Wednesday we're aiming to upload a reworked, mostly untested, combat system.

We feel significantly enough convinced, that what we have now is better than anything we've had previously, to push it.
The test server is a slow and arduous route, providing a highly selective kind of feedback.
This shakes things up more.

So, yeah, that'll be fun.

Update: We're done with the client work for tomorrow's patch, so loftar has pushed the new c0d3z to the fgt2 git branch for all your client modding needs.

Good thing I have a character wearing steel armor.... will help learn the new system much faster when I am not worried that the bat will kill me in such.

Is there going to be a world reset with new combat or are you going to let it get tested a bit on the current map?

I disagree, it just needs to emulate the live server better in terms of gear quality. As well, players need access to horses since they'll obviously be using a horse 99% of the time and also have an area where armor/weapons can be gathered without dudes chasing you around while you're naked. You'd also need the regular animal mobs for some PvE testing. The test server is a slow and arduous route because you made it that way.
