pools rework, so good.
question though, for intrepid hunters trying out new birb, do they act as a flock?

Don't be hasty, new pools could be even worse. You never know...

I'm sure that many people would be curious to know that.

Quite a simple mechanic, I don't think it ever was a secret. There was a global structure for each pooled foregable that kept track of an imaginary number in the pool, and a maximum number. Think of it as it being possible for 500 bluebells (made-up number, I don't remember what it actually was), and each time a bluebell was picked, one was subtracted from the number of bluebells in the pool. The remaining number as a fraction of the maximum number was then used to modulate the chance of the forageable in question actually spawning, and the number filled up over time at some particular rate.

I am sure that the majority of player got it figured up by now. But this global pool kind of backfires especially early world when one could find a dozen of pearls in a week and then spend an entire month not getting a single one. Does the new system also apply to the pearls?

Why Pelicans, we have Gannets in Europe not these North American birds!

When can I kill puffins, study their beaks and ferment them in seal skins inside a pile of stones for 3 months to make Kiviak.

Whenever you enter an Action Menu submenu using the scripted hotkeys, the hotkeys for all actions under that menu are shown over the icon, making it hopefully somewhat simpler to browse around without having to use the mouse.

What the heck is action menu, I dont understand.

The menu in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, where you select most ACTIONS that can be performed in the game. You know, "Adventure", "Build", "Craft"...
