There should be some slip for sale of animals, ships too? To remove even the last remains of player interaction in trading.

Mr. Fjord proudly erects a plow.
Mr. Zaphod dastardly steals a plow and attaches a Bill of Possession.
Mr. Zaphod cunningly returns stolen plow to it's previous spot.
Mr. Fjord detects scents of theft, but since his treasured plow is in same spot as before stays unconcerned.
Mr. Zaphod waits off for scents to expire, comes with bill and claims plow permanently.

is this story viable?

Mr. Zaphod meticulously constructs a cupboard.
Mr. Zaphod dastardly attaches a Bill of Possession to it and gives cupboard to Mr. Fjord.
Mr. Fjord gladly puts his treasured linen pants into spacious cupboard.
Mr. Zaphod stealthily visits Mr. Fjords homestead at night, carries away possessed cupboard and replaces it with new empty one.
Mr. Zaphod eagerly proceeds to study Mr. Fjords pants.

is this story viable?
Where time is but a loop, a loose stitch in the Universal Cloth, a Streamer might seize upon a chance, a fatal slip - and plunge the fate of planets into chaos…

Yes, it's marked with a pole (as shown in the OP screenshot), and it is that pole that is highlighted when hovering over the bill item.

Also, since I guess I didn't answer that explicitly, yes, the bill can be removed from the object by just right-clicking it.

Does it now also apply the increased smelting chance effects from skills (those were missing too)?

Has someone already testes and knows the answer to this?

The Bill of Possession is amazing update for trading but can we rename them or make barrels and chests with the bill of possession have rummage rights, would make it great for selling BULK! items again.
