Dunno about people who enjoy bird patches and mushroom patches, but I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate you taking your time with the patches rather than spitting out a new hat and stockpile/bird/mushroom/ladybug every week.

I can't find a screenshot of the giant truck paving we did, each tire was a beehive circle

but we had truck flags, shields, sails on the boats, etc

My first settlement last world was near that giant truck paving ("near" meaning "in the general neighborhood," not close enough to meet often). It was very memorable, and as soon as CSPAN brought it up I was like "Oh, I know that place!"

Unfortunately, I don't have any screenshots, either.

On the one hand, I miss hats, too. On the other hand, that's a lot of time and effort the devs are spending on other things. Weekly hats were, to be honest, probably a bit too much. Monthly hats might be more feasible and would theoretically result in better hats. I think if they'd enjoyed making a hat per week, they would still be doing that.

Ultimately, Jorb & Loftar have decided that less frequent, more interesting updates are better - and I agree. I do kind of miss the excitement of weekly patch notes (and the hats that came with them), but I think this update schedule will be better for the game.
