No, your point stands totally strong. My only defense of winter is that it does provide really nice vibes.

If Winter was just an aesthetic change with changes to sleds, though... Could be dank.

I have said before I do not like winter, I dont as it stands. However talking to my villagers it seems lots of people like it. Thinking about it, and I am sure this has been said, winter would be fun if more content was added to make it exciting(duh, i know), or if it was localized and a choice. But, really, just make seeds start right after and it's fine with a couple of tweaks.

You might have just missed it. Spring has sprung already

To be honest, I don't mind winter too much. It gives me a short reprieve from farming for a few days to do other things, plus the animals I have don't eat as much. Also, Precious Snowflakes do make for casual curios to pad out study desks.
It's spring that I can't stand, namely because I can't do anything with my orchard. Also in spring the insect populations aren't as plentiful, especially in swamps, and for a person who likes to use Bug Collections for LP, I prefer to get Emerald Dragonflies as one of the six insects to make my Bug Collections (because if I some high Q ones left over I can study them as a decent LP snack), and you can't find them in spring, but you know what you can find? Coltsfoot. No one likes coltsfoot, not even dandelions. Basically, what I'm trying to get at is most all of the useful things are found in summer and/or fall, in caves/mines where seasons are moot, or on mountains, where it is perpetual winter, but not much comes from spring other than getting your farming going again... and coltsfoot.
Known in a different time as Jeebus.

I like winter, its comfy. Seasons made the world feel more dynamic. Just add more content for spring/winter
