Game Development: Winter Garden

We've been developing, and here's what's new.

New Implementations
-----------------------
  • Added snow. It now snows during winter. Not that many effects yet, except whirling snowflakes are more common during it. Aesthetics!
  • Added "Greenhouse", building. You can grow crops in a Greenhouse, even during winter, but each replanting requires you to first apply mulch to the ground. For now, you can't build Trellises in them, but we hope to fix that down the line.

Key Fixes

  • Midges should no longer spawn when it rains.

In the Pipe
-----------------------
  • Dropped the ball a little bit with this patch, and had to rush it out to get it in in time for winter, hence lighter than it could have been. Have a list of fixes hopefully coming next week.
  • Have generally changed philosophy a fair bit on winter, and have a few other changes in line with this one in the pipe. Will try to make a full dedicated patch before the next ingame winter.
  • Again urging any custom client maker who wishes to stay relevant to get with the new rendering times. Support for the old resources will be dropped at some point.
  • Our primary development direction is toward object-controlled-objects.

please make winter longer in the near future as content expands. i am hoping that the shortening is a temporary stopgap and not a permanent fixture
