Game Development: Fine Produce

Postby jorb » Thu Feb 19, 2026 2:11 am

We've been developing, and here's what's new.

Image

New Implementations
-----------------------
  • Added "Produce Sack". Produce Sacks are crafted using a bunch of cloth (and sundry), and can hold the contents of one stockpile of any kind. Hold (or carry) the sack, and Right-Click a stockpile, to bag it. When in a sack, the stockpile can be carried around, stashed in e.g. carts, sleds, and all such. Produce Sacks stack three high when in your inventory. Variable materials, cute icon upfront, otherwise pretty much a stockpile variant.
  • Added "Wood Scorpion". A nasty li'l stinger of a guy who lives occasionally in select forest biomes, and abundantly in "Badlands". Scorpions can be picked up, at risk of stinging, but can also decide to attack, and can't be picked up while in combat. Ultimately, when dead, they are a curiosity, and a bug.
  • Added "Fine Sled", an improved sled carrying three, rather than two, objects.
  • Added "Pearl Oyster", a forageable accessible only using a "Diver's Weight".

Key Fixes
-----------------------
  • Added a proper icon and description for quests performed for the Ancestors — bless them!

Small Fixes
-----------------------
  • Minedust indicating nearby collapse tiles should now drop on the center of the tile.
  • "Lynx"es now have "Big Brain"s.
  • Fixed a hotkey conflict in the action menu. (Birch Bark Cap/Rathat).
  • Added a new submenu "Ships & Boats" under "Vehicles & Movables", and moved appropriate builds in under that.
  • "Grind Pipestuff" recipe action now uses the correct, new, icon for Pipestuff.
  • Added a small puddle to "Bee Skep"s which displays if the Skep is more than half full of honey.

As always, if you liked what we did here: Support the patch.

Today's Patch Item, for the fair price of $7, is the "Butterfly Bonnet".

Store Description wrote:Image$7 There is no upper limit on how big a butterfly nurtured by love and soft plush can grow.

All Gold & Silver subscribers have been awarded the "Butterfly Bonnet", free of charge.

In the Pipe
-----------------------

Enjoy!

I mean its aight. Those bags could use more storage than a normal stockpile tbh, or overall buff to stockpiles, if one is making a container they can make a metal chest for free which will outdo most of these. Isn't this just a wheelbarrow with a nicer display of whats in it.

A good intermediate update. Cheers on taking to the heart my subtle pointers on Diver's Weight being a one-trick-pony, now expand on it even more ('cause two trick pony is better but not by a lot XD)!

Nice patch!

Past patches were way too cool I guess, this one felt a little underwhelming.

Nice patch!

Very nice not to have to wheel a bunch of different stockpiles around with the wheelbarrow the whole time. I can now pack a few bags of turnips for the neighbors <3

Thanks!
