Plowing Stone

I've just discovered that it's possible to plow stone roads, regardless of whether the underlying terrain was grass or mud. Considering mud isn't plowable by itself, this seems like an oversight.

Was it always like this? I seem to recall roads weren't plowable before.

It was always like that, you can't dig up farmland though.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Shows what I get for taking the how-to as verbatim, I guess. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Well, it is certainly arguable that stone roads shouldn't be plowable. That's for sure. However, you could always dig it into dirt, at least, and on dirt, you'd be able to plant grass, and the grass would be plowable. That extra step would require seeds, though, so it should probably be made that way.

Also, cobblestone can be dug for clay, recobbled, then dug again ad infinitum.

This doesn't matter too much because clay is already pretty much an inexhaustible resource, but it does give more reason to fix it.

you can plant grass on clay and then dig for clay. i think that and the stone are intentional.
