Drinking water makes you hungry.

Drinking water makes you hungry.

Topic pretty much sums it up. If you drink water out of a kuksa, you food bar rapidly depletes.

I assume the water is full of parasites.

Water just accelerates the conversion of hunger into stamina. If it was better than that, there'd be no point in making tea, and we all know how devs love love their tea.

While that is true, the main reason I decided to do it like that was actually to prevent macroing. If water didn't drain hunger equivalent to the normal conversion ratio, one could easily macro LP by digging clay in a stream and continually recharge stamina by drinking water. This way, you have to find food to eat, as well.

(It might be worth mentioning that higher quality water recharges more stamina without costing more hunger, though)

hahahahahahahahaha no

Maybe you should focus on compelling and rewarding gameplay instead of vainly attempting to suppress macroing with shortsighted decisions that actually encourage macroing by increasing the grind, like bumping black arts to 230k or tying all crafting to expensive skill values.

Not a chance. Not even the *slightest* chance. All one has to do find an apple tree next to water, and have their macro go grab a few apples whenever the food bar gets low.

I see this as quite beneficial to those who are in rush of boosting their stats.

Yes, I am quite well aware, thank you. :)

While the presentation of this statement is less than tactful, it is a fairly accurate observation. Macroing is a symptom, not a problem. If people are macroing, it means something in your game isn't rewarding enough to motivate the players to do it themselves.

I believe a significant part of the problem is that it's very difficult to begin hunting, the most rewarding activity, it seems. Even the weakest of foxes is more than a challenge for many players. Hell, even a level 3 fox is probably deadly to around 70% of the playerbase. There's no entry-level hunting beyond sheep and cattle - if you can call that hunting.

I wrote no such thing :x
I'm just saying that water needs to be worse than tea, or there will be no point in making tea.
