I noticed that plowed fields decay back into their original tiles randomly, but they also do it while the fields have crops growing in them. It's frustrating to have to re-plow single, random tiles of my fields because that tile got hit with a decay pulse. Is it intentional for the plowed areas to revert while they contain growing crops?
That's actually pretty reasonable sounding. After all, in the olden days you had to plow the whole field every time you wanted to plant... It's not that big of a deal.
It won't hurt your plants, by the way. They only need to be planted in plowed ground.
Yeah, I had this happen to my farm too. Its kinda neat in some ways since it makes plow use be more than just a one-time thing.
I haven't plowed back my farmland in fear of it destroying my crops, has anyone tested it to see if it does destroy the crop? I assume it doesn't, but I don't want to risk it <.<

It doesn't. :)
