Logging out at sea

I logged out while in my boat.
About 12 hours later, I logged back in to the same place, and found that I was in the middle of the lake, without a boat.
Luckily I was standing, not swimming, so I was able to log out again.

If the boat decayed away, I shouldn't have been able to log in there. But that'd still be odd, because the boat was still in good condition.

are you sure the boat was actually gone? it seems the boat sprite is the last to load and sometimes disappears for a few seconds when you're boating around.

I waited a good half a minute, though I couldn't move in case it really was gone.
It's still possible, though. Good thought.
