Still Logged In?

But I'm clearly not. My guy is standing there doing nothing after a DC, the guy i was with is in IRC waiting for me to drop so i can log back in. I was sorta hungry when this happened. I better not die.

Don't worry; just try again after a couple of minutes.

Its been 20 minutes, and the only change is that now the guy i was with is DC'd too. But we're able to get on other characters fine.

If they disconnected while in battle, it can take 20 minutes till you leave battle,
unless Loftar changed that, and the character won't be logged out until that happens.

But that is a different matter. As long as just the character is logged in, there isn't a problem with logging back in and resuming control over him.

The "already logged in" message indicates that there is, indeed, a client connected to the server as the user you're trying to log in as. As sabinati said, if the client crashed, make sure to close the error report window. If that is not the case, check the process list (using the "Task Manager" if you're using Windows) and see so that the client isn't just somehow left running with no windows open. It should show up as "java" or "javaw".
