Region Mapping - Draw Region Map

The thing that feels like a true bug:
Code: Select all
You are given the option to draw a regional map with a non-completely filled in map.  This consumes ink and risks breaking the pen while producing no result other than the one corner case of tagging a blank map with region map status without actually filling in any information.

The 175-180 tile buffering of the edges of the world map makes it essentially impossible(You can maybe ancestor and hope it fills in the tiles I guess, though I'm unfamiliar with the system) to region map the edges of the world with the current system.

The region maps appear to be frameshifted down one and right one from representing a quarter of a supergrid for unknown reasons (bug? intended?) Is this why the RoB isn't in the true center of the world? This strongly encourages me to continue to use cropped local maps over actually using the regional mapping system in the game.

Yup, region maps suck. Photoshop/Gimp is indeed your best bet. Perhaps in the future they will add the ability to view the old local map from a region map.

And the ability to make markers.

It will probably come about when we get navigational tools as well.

And the sharks and the portable animals devices and fence gates.
