Can't dig out clay.

For some reason, every time I dig for clay at a river, it gives me LP but it doesn't give a unit of clay. Soil has no problem with this, but past the first unit of clay I dug up, no more will show in my inventory. D: Makes making clay objects very hard.

that's not a bug ;) you have to search for "clay nodes" where there's a constant stream of clay, otherwise you'll dig up only a single unit. Oh, and next time before posting a new thread, bother to read wiki, ok? ;)

;) I am digging in other places. The wiki says that you get 1 unit per 1 area. Moving on yields nothing more. Try not to be a dick, ok? ;)

not sure exactly as it's a pretty futile endeavor. you'd be a lot better off doing some looking for a spot that goes above q10.

Really, you say he needs to look for a spot above q10, while he doesnt find any clay at all? What nonsense..

Don't get snarky, if you had fully read and understood, you would realize he did indeed get a single unit of clay, and it is working as intended.

Besides the wiki, actually reading the DEV NOTES in the Announcement forum will award people with a wealth of knowledge, to wit:

Quality Points
Quality points actually no longer exist, though you need not be overly concerned about that, as it is mostly a behind the scenes change. Quality is instead saved per the map format, allowing for much shorter lookup time on the quality data. The main effects you will notice are:

A) Quality decreases as you exctract materials from a particular area. The quality grows back again over time.
B) Shallow water only yields clay if there is actually a clay quality point in the vicinity. All other spots will yield exactly one unit of Q10 clay, which will immediately drop the area below yieldable range, which, in turn, grows back in about a day or so.

uh yeah because the spots that are above q10 actually have more than one piece of clay in them
