Well I don't think this is a bug but just something wrong with the AI. Even though I like it I feel it has to be reported.
I found 2 bears while in a boat and provoked them. By coinsidence they both ran up to a rock and stopped, I walked up to the rock
got some ammo and shot one bear near the rock, it ran towards the river and ran straight back to the rock. This happened repeatedly and they both didn't run away or attack me. :D

I believe that is known already when bears goes into 'panic' mode.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.
