Shifting direction arrow.

I am trying to get to my friends, and traveling by party direction arrow. But if I change party member color group, arrow shifts and starts pointing right into the opposite direction. So... what direction is buggy and what is correct?

click on his face in the party menu, your toon will go in the right direction
