Not getting any clay?

So I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I feel like it is. I'm in shallow water, and I'm digging for clay, and I'm getting LP points and losing stamina but I'm not getting any sort of clay at all. What gives?

It means you're nowhere near a clay node. After you dig once and get clay, you automatically start the next attempt, and so on, until you fail to get clay.

Ok, so not a bug. I thought you could just dig anywhere in shallow water and get clay. It's been awhile since I've played though.

To add a localization of resources and make it so it wasn't such an easy to get material. Did it really make sense that clay was everywhere you dug and fish were in every river and lake?

not really but i dont like that i have to travel 15 min to get to my q 45 clay spot cause i have no clay by me at all.

i have no way to. i live on a mountian and half to walk all the way to the other side of it to get to the river
