Thief logging off inside walls

Postby Antioch » Thu Aug 06, 2009 12:48 pm

So I just spotted a thief inside my walls, which immediately logged off when he saw me, but the problem is that now I can't do anything about him, while he can just log in whenever he wants and rob my place, and log in at his hearthfire. There is no way of knowing if the thief can still log in inside my walls, so my entire claim is unsafe forever, because the thief can wait days or even weeks before logging in and robbing my place.

I think there should be something done to prevent such exploits

You're right; that's probably not entirely good. I should probably do it so that the "last position" restart point cannot be used if that position is owned.

FWIW, you can prevent him from logging back in there if you know exactly where he was -- just build something on that spot, and he can't log back in there.

This. Otherwise my camp is very much compromised.

Yes... Yes he does.

A handy tool is the ignore feature (in profile you can add people to your enemies list, then you don't see them)

For the record, this should be fixed now.

Thank you. Is the fix retroactive - i.e. if someone logged off in a person or village's claim, before the fix, will they be able to log back in where-they-logged-off? What if they logged off in space that wasn't claimed when they logged, but has been claimed since?
