Unable to build Crossroads, along with other gov Structures

Newly formed village, functioning idol, assigned as lawspeaker, within village claim area, 132,000+ authority. Using default client. Build->Construction->Government, Charterstone, Crossroads, Statue, Village banner are shown. If any are selected, no shadow or finished version appears on the cursor to allow placement and construction and the menu resets back to the root. There seems to be no way to build any government structure.

its probably lag click where you would like to build anyway and it should build even without the shadow/finished object. it happens to me often.

No, I've thought of that, can build other things, other constructions, even ones that I've never "seen" in the game yet like battering rams or chicken coops, just not the 4 government type constructions. No amount of waiting, (30 minutes thus far) will cause the shadow/finished object to appear. And clicking anywhere does not cause a construction to start like with lag. Selecting the government constructions cancels buildling entirely.

I've got it too, can't build any government structures. Different village, different lawspeaker.

well we've been able to build statues but not crossroads. as described, the menu option is available, but nothing happens.

haven't tried banners because i don't have any linen, plant fibers are all going to other things right now

any update on this? I am having the same problem
